Pet Policy
The Lakes Apartment is a pet-friendly community!
Tenants may keep a maximum of two (2) domestic pets (cats or dogs) per unit with prior written approval from management. Dogs must not exceed 50 lbs at full maturity. Exotic animals, reptiles, and aggressive breeds are not permitted.
Pet Deposit & Fees
A non-refundable pet deposit of $300 per pet is required prior to move-in. Monthly pet rent of $35 per pet will be added to the tenant's lease.
Tenant Responsibilities
Tenants are fully responsible for their pet's behavior and any damage caused. Pets must be vaccinated, licensed per local ordinance, and on a leash in all common areas. Pet waste must be cleaned up immediately. Excessive noise, aggression, or complaints from neighbors may result in removal of the pet or termination of tenancy.
Violations
Unauthorized pets or pet waste not being picked up will result in a $250 fine. Repeat violations may lead to lease termination.
Service & Emotional Support Animals
This policy does not apply to legally recognized service animals or approved emotional support animals. Separate documentation requirements apply per Fair Housing Act guidelines.
